a) Client-Centred Goal Negotiation: A Shared Journey
This is a half day module for BSc and MSc students that
aims to increase their understanding of the key principles
and processes involved in client-centred goal negotiation
and equip them with the practical knowledge and confidence
to apply this overarching framework to their work with a
range of client groups in a variety of different clinical
settings.

b) Working with Families and Friends
This is a half day module for BSc and MSc students that
aims to increase their understanding of the impact of a communication
disability on families and friends, as well as the issues,
barriers and opportunities that they bring with them to the
therapy relationship. It further aims to equip the students
with the practical knowledge and confidence to work collaboratively
with clients and their families and friends in a variety
of ways and provides them with an opportunity to reflect
on their future learning and support needs as newly qualified
therapists.

Living with Communication Disabilities: Insider Accounts
This is a half day module for BSc and MSc students that aims to increase their understanding of the impact of a communication disability in the context of someone’s whole life. It further aims to equip the students with the practical knowledge and confidence in using a range of frameworks and models to listen to peoples' personal stories and readiness for change.
