City Lit is an adult education centre located in central London. The speech and language therapy department there houses a national centre of excellence for group therapy with adults who stammer.

Sam worked as a part-time tutor with this department from 1995-2001. She has maintained links since this time and provides locum cover on an ad-hoc basis. She is currently involved in a proposal to co-edit a book encouraging reflexive thinking about the experience and meaningfulness of therapy from the perspective of people who stammer as well as therapists.
